This vacuum set is used for degassing casting materials such as silicone, resin (polyurethane, epoxy resins), plaster, and wax.
Powerful, compact vacuum pump with an excellent price-performance ratio, featuring a single-stage rotary vane design with a coarse filter. Combined with our vacuum chambers, even our most viscous silicone (MOLD MAX™ 40 - 45,000 mPas) can be easily vented.
The pump has a power output of 0.75 kW / < 7 A. The suction capacity is 20 m³ per hour.
Vacuum capacity: 20 m³/h
Up to 99.95% vacuum (minimum 0.5 mbar = 50 Pascal)
230 V AC, 750 watts
Oil-sealed, single-stage rotary vane pump
Vertical/perpendicular intake nozzles
Includes two brass connection-nozzles for 8mm or 12mm hose diameters
Includes 1000 ml pump oil
Please note the maximum duty cycle: 20%, max. 10 minutes. For longer duty cycles, an oil cooler must be provided.
The vacuum chamber is made of stainless steel and has a volume of 50 liters. The diameter and height are both 40 cm. The lid is made of transparent polycarbonate. The vacuum chamber is equipped with a silicone seal (Shore A60). This seal is durable and resistant to mechanical deformation. The excellent transparency of the lid allows for observation of the degassing process. The two ball valves allow you to regulate the degassing process, and the vacuum gauge displays the current vacuum in the chamber. The chamber is equipped with an air filter that effectively prevents dirt from entering the degassing material. The vacuum chamber is connected to the pump via a connector and a reinforced vacuum hose (inner diameter 12 mm, 1.5 m long). The excellent tightness ensures that the vacuum is maintained long after the pump is switched off.
Warning: This chamber is not suitable for wood stabilization or for working with alcohol, ethanol, acetone, acrylic-based monomers or polymers, or styrene-based resins. For these purposes, we recommend using a vacuum chamber with a tempered glass lid.
