MONSTER CLAY® PREMIUM GRADE are high-quality, sulphur-free and oil-based modelling compounds. All variants are completely free of toxins and volatile organic compounds. MONSTER CLAY® PREMIUM GRADE is relatively dry and has a low melting temperature.
(approx. 58°C). MONSTER CLAY® PREMIUM GRADE does not stick to tools or fingers. All hardness variants are brown.
Low density: MONSTER CLAY® has a lower specific weight than comparable modelling pastes. As a result, each block contains approximately 25% more material per kg than most competitive products, making it one of the most cost-effective clays on the market.
High Elasticity: Due to its exceptionally high elasticity, MONSTER CLAY® can be stretched like caramel after heating, making it easier to create difficult shapes.
Smooth consistency: MONSTER CLAY® has a smooth basic consistency and can therefore be processed very well. Low heating makes processing even easier. 99 % alcohol, a citrus-based solvent or turpentine substitute can be used to smooth the surface.
Sulphur-free: MONSTER CLAY® is sulphur-free and can therefore be moulded with condensation and addition silicones. See also section B. Handling tips.
Solid consistency at normal room temperature: MONSTER CLAY® has a solid consistency at a normal room temperature of approx. 23°C and can then be worked with tools in great detail. The surface is resistant to damage at room temperature.
No polymerization / no oxidation: One of the main criteria in the development of MONSTER CLAY® was that the machining properties should remain constant for an indefinite period of time. MONSTER CLAY® does not become brittle over time, does not dry out and retains its original formability. This is often not the case with other oil-based modelling pastes.
Easy to liquefy: MONSTER CLAY® can be melted very easily and cast into any type of flexible negative mould (silicone, alginate, PUR rubber, etc.). This process can be repeated indefinitely. After cooling the clay will keep its original consistency. MONSTER CLAY® is therefore an ideal aid for body reproductions, if an intermediate model is to be cast in the negative mould of the moulded part of the body, on which changes are made and which is then moulded again. MONSTER CLAY® can also be used for model changes in the rapid prototyping process.
